The whole region of Greater Cavendish was today frozen over. Aside from Koi Lake, with it’s artificial warmers and pumps, water outside froze this morning.
A notable example is the bird bath, located mere meters from the Lake. It had completely frozen, but had melted by midday.
Cold weather like this is a good indicator for snow. Lytera’s position to London means that while it snows most years around the december-march time, it isn’t as much as other areas, due to the increased heat.
Lytera’s last snow day was in February 28th to March 2nd, 2018. The last true ‘Snow-in’ was in the Big Freeze of 2009/10. During this, the country, and it’s now defunct neighbour, Clubhausia, had enough snow that a large Igloo was built on the Fields of Hausia between the Playa Major and the Gaeol. This igloo, while it was destroyed a few days later, was so compacted and large that it lasted in it’s collapsed state until April, where it finally melted.
The King has advised Lyterans to wrap up warm and watch out for ice and slippery spots.
