Lytera Adopts New Anthem – Back in Lytera

Lytera has adopted a new national anthem, replacing Lyteralied – the previous song used based on Badnerlied from 2010 to 2021 in a move seen coming for a while – in 2020, the outdated lyrics were phased out to make the song instrumental as it focused heavily on St. Cavendish, and a change had been implied by the Council from even before then.

The new song is based off of the East German Tune of Monika, and focuses largely on people’s support for the Kingdom, and how even when they’re far away, they think of it and plan to return. The Darjeeling Diarchy moved to focus the lyrics less on the royal family and more onto the ordinary people of the kingdom, a move TRM Alex I supported.

Below the English Lyrics can be seen, with the other official languages of German, Russian and Japanese under work.

Our nation wakes up early in the morning
The birds sing a gentle new song
The girls wave out of the window
For the flag that they all serve under

Whilst throughout the year we will be gone
Please wait for me, back in Lytera!
When one asks where I’d rather reside
Lytera, is my reply.

The command “Panzer, vor!” is given,
There is no objection from us,
Our weapons protect the nation
every goal is within our reach.

Whilst throughout the year we will be gone
Please wait for me, back in Lytera!
When one asks where I’d rather reside
Lytera,I will reply.

In the evening we return to our friends
the sun sinks to show the night sky.
Whilst we laugh and we travel the world
There’s only one place where I’d die

Whilst throughout the year we will be gone
Please wait for me, back in Lytera!
When one asks where we’d rather reside
Lytera, We all reply.
